I’m good at looking people up on the internet. My skills amaze me sometimes. It’s not that hard and it’s mostly free. You just have to be resourceful. So, I shall share with you my MO when I’m stalking people on the internet.

Disclaimer! This post is meant to be taken lightly. I’m NOT at all advocating stalking in a criminal sense. Don’t do that. It’s not nice. However, if you wanna look up your crush or that person from work you hate, then this is a good way to do it.

Another really good reason to know how to stalk is.. to stalk yourself. In this day and age where everything on the internet lives forever, you want to know what people will find when they run a background search on you. So, once in a while, Google yourself.

GOOGLE is all you really need when you’re looking someone or something up. If it’s a person, let’s name them Crush O’Mine, input their name straight into Google and click search.

  • Crush O’Mine
  • Cru O’Mine
  • Crush H. O’Mine
  • any other names they go by, maiden names, nicknames, other versions of their name

If their name is generic, you HAVE to put a tidbit of information that will help Google narrow down the search. For example:

  • Crush O’Mine School they Attended
  • Crush O’Mine Sport they like to play / any hobbies or affiliates
  • Crush O’Mine Where they work

These results will show you historical, safe and “professional” data. Nothing that interesting if you’re trying to get to the good stuff. IF you know the person’s online profile (ie. Screen name, email address), then you can google those.

  • CrushO’[email protected]
  • Crush O’Mine Iamcute9923 (name + screename)
  • Cru O’Mine (nickname) + email or screenname etc
  • Crush O’Mine Twitter/Facebook/Myspace/Formspring/blogger, etc

These results, if any will bring up your Crush’s internet activity. Any blogs, any profiles, any comments they have left on other sites, etc.

GOOGLE IMAGE SEARCH is also a good tool. Run the name to see what photos come up. Run screen names also.

You can do this on other search engines(Yahoo, Startnow, Bing) also, depending on how thorough you want your search to be. Sometimes other engines will pull up results that Google won’t.. but this is unlikely.

Yes, you’re thinking what about Facebook? That’s for an entirely different day since that will be a longer post.
