Ahhhhh. This place just gets better and better. I first blogged about My Kitchen sometime in April. We enjoyed our meal so much and promised to be back. So today, that’s where we found ourselves for lunch. I’m re-blogging because we ordered differently and I feel these dishes need their own blog entry.

Thanks to Deal Grocer (again), I was able to snag a deal on a 2-in-1 Panizza deal. We ordered a half Kristina and half Verena Pizza. The Kristina is cheesy, meaty and rich. The Verena is tangy, sweet and robust in flavor. We were a bit disappointed that we didn’t taste the truffle oil in the Verena at all. Both were good but when placed side by side, the Kristina got our vote.

We finally got to ordered the Slow-roasted Lamb Ribs. It went so fast that I didn’t even get to snap a photo.

My brother has declared them the best lamb ribs in Manila. This is a big deal because my brother is crazy for lamb and has high standards. About 9 years ago, our family traveled to Switzerland, where my brother got to try lamb for the first time. He absolutely fell in love and that dish has been his benchmark for great lamb. He finished this dish on his own when it’s supposed to be good for 2-3 people.

I ordered the 250g Bistecca, cooked medium. Oh my goodness. This was divine. The steak was cooked to perfection, it was tender and melt-in-your mouth yummy. Dad and I loved this. I was so full but still trying to stuff as much steak into my mouth as humanly possible.

Dad got the Spaghetti De Mare – a generous portion of fresh seafood tossed in a light marinara sauce on a bed of al dente spaghetti. Delicious.

For dessert, the lemon lime cheesecake made a repeat performance. It was just as good as the first time we ordered it. We inhaled it. I wanted to try the chocolate cake but I was so full at this point that I wanted something light to finish off my meal. Next time though, nothing will stop me from that chocolate cake.

As usual, don’t forget to make a reservation because they get really full. I called the night before and had no problems though. Call 5212371 and ask to be connected to My Kitchen.

Can’t wait to go back. I have a few more vouchers so I’m definitely going to be visiting again. Excited!!

    The list of places that I will need to visit should I ever make it to Manila continues to grow (as will my waistline if I make the trip). I think that your brother would greatly enjoy the Cordero Patagónico in Argentina. Typically you pay a set price and then it’s eat as much as you want (including the meat). Patagonia can get very cold and windy so this arrangement works very well there. In contrast to the cost-conscious UK, the guys serving the meat appear to like it when people come back for more.
