Hong Kong Holiday
My family loves to travel. One of our favorite haunts is Hong Kong. Without meaning to, we’ve visited almost every year (sometimes even twice). It’s a great city.
In December, it’s cold and chaotic. There’s INSANE amounts of people, all the stores are on sale and there’s lots of Filipinos. In Zara, it felt like one in every 5 shoppers was Filipino. We bumped into people we knew. It didn’t feel very vacation-like.
So now for the photos from our trip… Warning, these are totally random and not very touristy. Sorry. But hope you Enjoy. 🙂
At the Airport – Look at My parents.. so techie with their Apple products.
So many people traveling for the Holidays.
We arrived at night. Got to our hotel, Marco Polo Hong Kong. (The Hotel where every Filipino stays.)
It’s right on Canton Road. So convenient! Look at those lights. Like moths to a flame, we window-shopping addicts are drawn to the stores!
My brother is lucky that he has me to take all these photos of him.
Here we are right on the Tsim Sha Tsui Ferry Pier. Notice the Skyline in the back. I’ll have better photos of that later.
They had this awesome Disney Toy Story setup. Again. So. many. people. I couldn’t get close enough to take a proper photo.
Now for some photos that I took in order to test out the capability of my lens:
I captured a BIRD!
On Day 2: Dad and I went to check out a watch repair place which is why we ended up in the other side of the harbor.
There’s our hotel.
We discovered this cool kaleidoscope thing.
Then later in the day, we came across the Ferrero Rocher Christmas Tree.
HLS – Hui Lau Shan or “How to Lose Sexiness” – Mango Sago + Coconut Milk. Brother had this 3x a day. Bad for the waistline but oh so yummy.
1881 Heritage, a swanky hotel and upscale shops. Nice for photos and walking around.
My mom got dirt on her sunglasses and was freaking out. It was a funny moment. Brother and I laughed our butts off.
I like how 1881 Heritage preserved the trees.
The sheer number of people in this photo is making me claustrophobic.
My parents smelled something bad while we were walking haha.
Shopping in Mongkok.. Fake Longchamp, anyone?
….to be continued! More Photos later.
