Manila Art Show 2013
Thank you mom for introducing me to art.
One quiet Sunday, we checked out the Manila Art Show in SM Aura. We are by no means collectors but we like to look and appreciate. Our taste is far from distinguished, we just like what we think looks good.
I adore Michael Cacnio’s work. I am hoping to get one for myself some day. He’s so popular now which means the prices of his work are skyrocketing. Take this tree piece for example… 1.5M pesos.
Another one by him. Love this alot. Can’t afford.
Our only acquisition from the show. St. Pedro Calungsod now guards our office in Makati. Got this one from Qube Gallery.
“Extinction”
A piece on global warming
Artist is Dominador Laroza
60x38in oil on canvas
I got to see works by the National Artist, Fernando Amorsolo. If you would like to buy this, it will cost you about 5 Million Pesos. Contact Leon Art Gallery.
Young Artist – Carlo Ongchangco
LOVED this watercolor painting by Manansala. I wish I had 1.2M to spend.
The photo does not do this painting by Betsy Westerndorp justice
The famous Carabao from Qube Gallery. They were selling this for P500,000, negotiable.
Since we’re talking about art, here’s the first of two art pieces in my collection. I picked this up last year. Scenes of New York by Manuel Baldemor. Through the help of a mutual friend, he made this for me.
