Blog Awards, Environment Philippines & The Revenge of Christopher Lao

One of my really good friends, Verne is the blogger behind Environment Philippines, a blog that spotlights and advocates social and environmental change. In May 2011, EP was nominated into the advocacy category and after a series of screenings, it made it as one of the finalists for the Philippine Blog Awards.

Verne invited me to join him at awarding night on Dec 3, 2011.

I was thrilled and super excited to go support him. While EP was a finalist alongside some really great blogs, I already had no doubts that he would win. And he DID! But more on this later.

Remember the flooded vehicle guy? The one everyone made fun of a few months ago? Well he was at the event too, as a presenter! OMG this was ridiculously awesome. He has a great sense of humor about it and made fun of what happened to him, wow. I kept cracking up every time he said “were you not informed?” “I was informed that..” Christopher Lao! Good for you, man.
