Big Bad Wolf
“Potato Skins with Boursin Dip” was enough to entice me to venture into The Fort on a rainy saturday night. “Big Bad Wolf” and “Potato Skins with Boursin Dip” has been alive on my Instagram, Facebook and Twitter feed for quite some time now. I’ve always been intrigued so tonight, we went.
The place is tucked away in Fairways Tower and has a cozy, inviting vibe to it. The assorted chairs, the comfy couches, the bright airy space and eclectic playlist makes BBW fun and inviting like a typical New York/Brooklyn coffee shop where you come to hang out with your friends.
Unfortunately, I wasn’t that hungry so I was attracted to the little plates and not anything else. Turns out they’re not really that little so it ended up being a filling meal.
The main attraction – Potato Skins with Boursin Dip – Very addicting. I see what the hype is about
Potatoes are sliced so thin making them gloriously crisp and tasty. The boursin dip gives it extra flavor.

Shrimp Gambas in Crab Fat – Small portion (strange compared to the other plates) but very good. You can really taste the crab (no extenders here!) we just wish they gave you a bigger portion.

Honey Glazed Chicken Wings – Sweet, juicy and decent sized chicken w9ings, what more can you ask for!

French Onion Soup – Really liked this soup! They are generous with the cheese, among other things.

Melon & Parma Ham Salad – This is a good salad. There’s just not a lot of Parma Ham and there’s only four pieces of melon. Not enough to name the dish after it, I think. We liked how they gave you lots of parmesan cheese.

Goat Cheese and Chorizo Rolls – Salty Chorizo, rich creamy goat cheese, light filo pastry and a mild tangy dip. Liked the flavors and the combination worked well.

Portions – In the dishes we ordered, we felt that we got good-enough-to-share sized portions which we didn’t expect. We thought it would be more tapas-style for these dishes but turned out they could be meals in themselves.
Price – wise, a little on the high side, at least for us. Our entire meal came to about Php1,500 + SC = Php1,633
I definitely want to go back and try their main courses.

Wings look awesome (and I`m sure they tasted even better than that). Did you notice any frog on the menu?
Nahh no frog haha. Definitely all just the usual beef, chicken, pork, fish. Nothing too out there.
